Queston 19 Gs-2: The questions regarding CBI’s autonomy are raised time and again. Critically comment. What structural and institutional changes are required in CBI, if any? (250 words, 15 marks)
Structure:
1. News background in intro. Use caged parrot term. Mention coal/2G scam and current issue.
2. I would prefer an answer with both views. It is autonomous n it is not. Anyway, it is critical analysis..
3. Prove above views with cases/examples.
4. Structural changes needed? What if yes. (appointment, removal, administration)
5. Institutional changes needed? What if yes. (govt role, director cbi role, cbi vs other agencies)
So there are 4 parts of question, marked in bold. Make these four headings and ryt 3-4 points each.

Question 20 Gs-3: Artificial intelligence has its application is various spheres. Not only implications on jobs but security implications too loom large because of AI. Discuss. (200 words, 12.5 marks)
Structure:
Three parts: applications, job implications and security implications.
1. Intro: what is AI?
2. APP: 4-5. One liners.
3. Can draw hub spoke diagram for above.
4. Job implications. Mention reports, facts, and also how AI can create jobs.
5. Security: again, write both views positive and negative.
6. Way forward approach in conclusion.
Question 21 Gs-1 History: Give an account of Europe as under Napoleon. Why is he considered a child of revolution? (150 words, 10 marks)
Structure:
Tough for non history students but such questions can be expected.
1. Start with napoleon. Who he was. His ideology and actions.
2. Write about europe from 1799-1815. Have to write about countries if you know individual examples. Else write a general theme.
Take hint from the fact that napoleon gained power after french revolution. Europe was under aftermath of french revolution.
3. Extending above hint, he was a product of revolution.
4. Write if he carried forward the ideals of revolution or not.
5. Names of events, other leaders.
6. Chronological event diagram.
7. Conclusion can be made from europe after napoleon.
Question 22 Gs-4: What do you understand by following terms:
• Collegiality
• Sarvodaya
• Work ethics
• Emotional administration vs intelligent administration(150 words, 10 marks)
Structure:
Simple definition based questions. 4 questions, 2.5 marks each = 2-3 points each.
The trick in this definition based question is that it is always the first question in exam and has five parts. Aspirants take too much time to answer it as they write a lot in each part.
You have to write only 2-3 points with example for a subpart (that too one liner points)..anyway this type of question is not scoring..
Draw diagram.
Conclusion is a common one: hence the given terms have xyz relevance in present times.

Question 23 Gs-2 polity: Recently, Judiciary has taken much active role in religious matters like Triple Talaq and Santhara. Do you think that this is judicial overreach? Should govt rather bring Uniform civil code? Critically analyze. (250 words, 15 marks)

2. Explain overreach.
3. Did judiciary took cases suo moto or on petition? Complaints were filed, hence ths isnt pure case or activism or overreach.
4. Also, use judgements and grounds given in these cases and other related cases to prove ur point.
5. Mention responsibilities of govt with respct to upholding citizens’ FRs and preventing violation of any FR.
6. Explain UCC.
7. Will bringing UCC fulfill mentioned responsibilities of the elected? Would judiciary wont be needed to interfere in such matters post UCC? Explain on these lines.
8. Mention FRs, DPSP, Articles etc.

10. Conclusion.
This was a complex question. Try it once.
Question 24 Gs-3 Economy: Infrastructure sector is highly investment driven. What are reasons of slowdown in Indian automobile sector? What steps have govt taken to tackle the same? (200 words, 12.5 marks)
Structure:
3 parts, 4 points each. Straight forward question.
1. What is infra sector (road, rail, airways, ports etc from syllabus): intro.
2. 4 points on how n why it is investment driven.
3. 4 Problems in auto sector.
4. 4 solutions.
5. Do write way forward for sector as a whole.
6. Diagram.
7. Keywords from budget, survey, static portions like investments models (BOT, EPC etc).
