Reading static theory is important as:
- Many times questions are linked to static theory/historical background of issue.
- Static theory acts as ‘fodder’ and hence adds to points from current. You will be able to write 10–12–15 points by interlinking current with static.
- Static theory helps in countering completely unknown/random question by just writing what you know about the background.
- It of course adds to depth and knowledge base.
AGRICULTURE includes:
- STATIC TOPICS LINKED WITH CURRENT.
- Crops, cropping patterns, irrigation, transport-marketing, e-technology, subsidies, MSP, PDS, food security, technology missions, animal-rearing, food processing, supply chain management and land reforms.
- Prepare static notes for these topics and add from current. Questions from agriculture always test your knowledge about “history of topics” linked with current.
- Land reform is not purely in agricultural context but also economic.
ECONOMY includes:
- Static: planning, industrial policy, inclusive growth, budgeting, liberalization, infrastructure and investment. Prepare static notes for these topics from SRIRAM NOTES and add from current.
